Meet: Nicholas Kawamura
Meet: Nicholas Kawamura
There’s something quite special about stepping into a home where music, creativity, and presence live side by side. When we visited Nicholas Kawamura in his beautiful home in Charlottenlund, it quickly became clear that here, among stucco ceilings and terrazzo floors, lives a man who understands the balance between passion, reflection, and family life.
The cameras rolled, the light fell softly through the window, and in the middle of it all stood Nicholas — DJ, podcast host, radio presenter… and father.
“I’m a DJ, I’m a podcast host, and I still do a bit of radio from time to time. But among all the job titles I might have, I know what I truly am at heart: I’m a father.”

There’s a calm warmth in Nicholas’s voice when he speaks about fatherhood. His podcast PAPA is an honest space where he invites other fathers in for open conversations about life as a father — the big emotions, the small moments, and everything in between.
One particular memory still stands vividly for Nicholas:
“I remember holding my first child in my arms. That feeling was unique — I’d never experienced anything like it. I can even remember what I was wearing: a pair of light jeans with a hole in the knee. It’s funny how you can connect life’s biggest moments with the clothes you were wearing.”
For Nicholas, style and life are deeply intertwined. Just like his music and his family, his personal style has evolved over time.
“My style has changed as I’ve changed over the past ten years. It’s gone from being a bit more flashy to something cleaner and more confident. A lot has shifted as I’ve become a father and started a family.”
It’s that same calm confidence you sense when you meet him — grounded, reflective, and true to himself.
Nicholas Kawamura may be best known for his rhythms, but these days, it’s not only music that sets the tempo. It’s the everyday moments with his children, the quiet talks over breakfast, and those rare pauses when time seems to stand still.
He reminds us that style isn’t just about what we wear — it’s about how we carry life itself.
