THE JOURNEY OF: OUR FOOTWEAR
The right shoes can often complete a look. Therefore, shoes are steadily becoming a strong core in the MOS MOSH collections. When it comes to our collections, a mantra has always been "it has to feel right" – and our shoes are no exception.
We chatted with Loise Læborg Madsen, Head of Design & shoe designer, and Helle Raakilde Hviid Christensen, Production Controller, about the things they focus on when designing shoes, and like so many of our other products, we care about the beautiful process of making them. All shoes are made by hand, and each shoe goes through several hands before the product is finished. It's all about finish and comfort, and of course design, and we love being nerds with an extraordinary focus on each product. In addition, we love the relationship with our Portuguese suppliers, known for their craftsmanship and long history in making leather goods. We visit our suppliers twice a year, joining the production flow and watching our suppliers' incredible craftsmanship.
When choosing our materials, we primarily use leather. It's a durable and beautiful material to work with, as it gets a unique patina over time. Furthermore, we always choose natural materials such as cotton and braided raffia when designing our spring & summer collections, as these materials give a light and summerly look. Furthermore, we often use recycled soles.
Our clothing collections inspire our shoes. The shoes complement our various collections' silhouettes, colours, and looks.
