MMGOlympia Knit – A Tribute to Kolding IF and Its History
The knitted Olympia football jersey first came to life through a close collaboration with Kolding IF Football. Together, we have created something truly special – a retro knitted football jersey that both honors the past and looks towards the future. The Olympia Knit is more than just a jersey; it’s a tribute to the club’s proud traditions, its home ground, and a reminder of the importance of the local community.
The History Behind the Olympia Knit
The jersey is named after Kolding IF’s legendary home ground, "Olympia." The name has deep roots in the club’s history, as the first building on the original stadium, built in 1898, bore the name Olympia. We wanted to create a jersey that reflects that history while also contributing to a brighter tomorrow. With its classic design and premium cotton blend, the jersey is both comfortable and timeless – perfect for any football fan or fashion enthusiast.
A Collaboration from the Heart
"We are extremely proud to be a partner with Kolding IF on this project, which gave us the opportunity to contribute to something greater," says Mads Fogh, Brand Manager.
The Olympia Knit is crafted with a split polo collar, high ribbed cuffs, and embroidered logos, giving the jersey an authentic retro look. It’s part of the club’s identity but also a garment that celebrates the community and the city’s history.
"While creating this iconic jersey, we also dedicated ourselves to making a difference. When the jersey was first launched, all proceeds from the sales went directly to Kolding IF’s latest initiative: 'KIF – Kolding I Fællesskab.' This charitable project supports people in Kolding Municipality who need extra help to participate in healthy and social activities. It’s part of the club’s mission to strengthen the community and ensure that everyone can participate – regardless of their background," adds Mads Fogh, Brand Manager.
